Kit Contents

The system is provided as a complete, sterile kit containing:

  • Needle and two syringes
  • 3-stage safety wire
  • Sheath dilator
  • Silicone Foley catheter with integrated balloon
  • Scalpel

Insertion Technique

After administering local anesthetic and making a 1cm incision, the procedure follows these steps:

  1. Inject anesthetic along the track to the bladder.
  2. Insert the guidewire through the needle and remove the needle.
  3. Use the sheath dilator along the guidewire to reach the bladder.
  4. Remove the dilator and guidewire, while occluding the sheath outlet.
  5. Insert the Foley catheter, inflate the 10ml balloon with sterile water, and remove the outer sheath.

Ordering Information

The S-Cath™ System is available in various catheter sizes (8Fr. to 16Fr.). Standard lengths are 42cm, with specific models like the 5759-L offering a longer sheath dilator, needle, and guidewire.
